As education stays as a key focus in training the children, we concentrate more in their academics. Addition support in their academics was given by our evening tuition facility for our children. As education plays a major role in the development of one’s lifestyle, we encourage the children to pay more attention in their academics. Supportive educational study materials were also provided for the children.
About Annai Illam
Annai Illam Trust was started in the year 2003. The children home works towards helping the poor and orphaned children to have a real family experience. The Home has also extended lot of extra opportunities. We’ve made it as a habit in our Children’s Home to celebrate the birthdays of all our children in our home. We have both indoor and outdoor games for the children. Children were also encouraged to take part in sports competitions conducted by the school. All our children were enrolled in the local Government School in Vadakarai and Elementary School in Alijivakkam, for their regular schooling.

Founder’s Profile
Annai Illam Trust in the year 2003. The idea of doing such service emerged out of my desire to help others while still being a common woman. I remember the saying of the elders that ‘We should help others instead of helping ourselves’. So I started to help few elders in my neighbourhood. Later some of the lonely, poor and destitute women approached me to take care of their children as they couldn’t take care of them properly. That motivated me to start a shelter home for such children. Later as days went by, the home started to grow and many children came to us for our care. The home continued to make an impact in the lives of the needy children in our society and would continue to serve as many as possible and would contribute to the growth of the young generation in an effective way.
